I’ve had a guest in town for the past week, and we all know how THAT goes. In between Shakespeare and shopping, I did, however, manage to do the following:
1. Ran my fastest 4 Mile race time EVER, 47:11!!!!! (and another one just for good measure) ! That’s 12:34/mile, but who’s counting, right? hahahahahahaha!
2. Drank only 4 alcoholic beverages the entire time.
3. Did yoga twice.
4. Ran 2 miles on the treadmill.
5. Did 30 minutes of elliptical.
I can’t say it was all sunshine and spinach, though. These were my challenges:
1. STRESS EATING
2. STRESS EATING
3. STRESS EATING
4. STRESS EATING
5. STRESS EATING
Things could have been worse. At least I realized what was going on and my decisions were conscious. I have another guest in a couple weeks and therefore a chance to improve my coping mechanisms.
Found a hole in my pants right before running at the gym tonight
And you know what? I still ran. And then I did yoga.
Running Playlist Help!
I got a 4-mile race tomorrow and I’d love to mix things up a bit. Any suggestions??
Today was one of those days…
that at some point I’m going to look back on and wonder how I had the energy to do intense strength training and then go run 3 miles…and still have energy for life. I’m icing my hip right now and enjoying the feeling of a strong body getting stronger.
